Made a trip with the family to Ocean Shores. Hotels, beach, water, weather and most other places here just seem run down, dirty and depressed. Hungry, we checked reviews and ordered a Cowboy and a Pepperoni for take out to go back to our hotel. Man, renewed my hope for Ocean Shores! Truly delicious pizza. Cooked superbly, hot even when we got back to our room. Perfect crust, toppings are top quality and lots of them. Sauce was delicious, and cheese was browned evenly. Super surprised. If we come back through OC some day we will definitely grab pizza here. Reminds me of Moose's Saloon in Kalispell, MT. Love it.

We've been eating pizza at Red Genie's for many years. Super consistant tastes. Sometimes we dine in and sometimes we take out. Summertime can get very crowded. There wings are good and they always give you plenty of dipping sauces. Staff is always friendly. Remember your in Ocean Shores - be happy you have a few pizza joints to choose fronm.

A quiet jewel hidden away on a side street-but found now!!! This was a definite good find of the day!! The pizza is delicious, the service fast and full, and if you go away hungry it is not the fault of management! Will add this to my repeater file!!

Decent Pizza, nothing amazing. We were only in town for a few days hanging out at the beach and we got a peperoni pizza and some bread sticks. The pizza was good. The breadsticks looked like they took a roll, cut it in half, put some cheese on it and toasted it. Good just not what I was expecting, I'm glad we got 2 though.

BEST PIZZA!! We are staying across the street and ran over to grab a pizza to-go. They were friendly and fast! It was nice to see the owner's children helping out behind the counter. Order the Tsunami! You won't be disappointed.

Went to Red Genie on our first trip to Ocean Shores, and we were impressed. We got the sausage and pepperoni, and it was quite tasty. When everyone in the family likes it, you know you've got something. Usually there's at least one who will find something wrong. I've had better pizza, but as others have commented, this is Ocean Shores and food choices are somewhat limited but I would still give this a 5 if it were somewhere else. We kind of lost track of time and stopped in about 5 minutes before closing on a Sunday night, but the people working didn't seem too upset about a group of tourists dropping in when they wanted to leave, and they whipped up our 'za in t no time. If we ever make it back to OC, this place is on our list to re-visit.

Wife visited for takeout. Decor is very unique. She brought back a very good pizza. Don't know about sit in atmosphere but the takeout was very good!

  • Sandra B.

Omg the pizza was great! It was slow but beer was good staff nice place clean in a town where every restaurant was voted a four this one actually deserved a four the crust on the pizza perfect. Salad was lacking lettuce olives cheese but fresh

  • Anthony And April D.

Actually rather tasty pizza. This shabby shack has a rustic vibe nothing fancy at all but they can bake a pie better than most.

    (4)
  • Maryann F.

Pizza was good. We ordered Greek pizza and wings were pretty good. In this little town you can't expect NY pizza but it's still a decent crust. Next time just cheese to see if that's closer. People running are nice and lots of friendly locals.

Imagine my surprise, a great pizza joint in a tiny tourist town. Nothing fancy, a simple black and white menu offering the standard variety of pizzas (both red and white sauces) along with salads, wings and a few sandwiches. We visited on a Friday night. They were unusually busy, by their own admission, but the staff remained friendly and easygoing. We ordered a couple pizzas- the standard cheese and one called the Cheeseburger, along with a large Caesar Salad. The salad was a perfect size for a family of four. Fresh croutons, Parmesan cheese and a solid helping of tangy dressing. It was gone in minutes. The pizzas were great. Not too much cheese or sauce and a very fresh crust. Our family likes a good hand tossed crust that's not too doughy or too thin. These pies nailed it on that front. The Cheesyburger was also topped with bacon, beef and onions. We'll definitely be back.

I was a fan of Duggan's pizza. I still am but this is AMAZING. I wanted to give a gift certificate to my fiance for his birthday, that's the only thing they don't have. So I made a pizza gift card with cash in it - I swear it was really for him. :)

  • Al C.

Rude. They don't deliver and are rude when you ask. Forget it. Will get pizza somewhere else. They must have enough business to pick and choose customers. Disappointed. Onto the next one.

    (1)
  • George A.

Not bad. Good size for the price, considering you are in a tourist town. We did takeout. The place looks like a bar from the outside, but was decent on the inside. Clean. Everyone i spoke with was nice. Breadsticks were small.

Pretty good pizza! Very quiet and surprisingly cozy place. Great service. Definitely coming back!

What is the point in writing a bad review without a picture? Without a picture you have nothing to say that I want to hear. Also how about you people start reviewing the food? This is a pizza dive and does not deserve the white glove treatment of upper class snobs. With that I have to say, I have been searching for an amazing pizza place and by far this is it. Very fresh tasting pizza with tons of toppings, cheese and perfect amount of sauce! We had the Cowboy (Large) and a white sauce pizza (Medium) with spinach, chicken, tomatoes and whatnot....delicious! We tried two other pizza places in the area and ended up paying more money for lazy pizza, very few toppings...I mean they didn't even manage to cut the slices all the way through...LAME! If you go anywhere for pizza other than Red Genie you will be disappointed. If I could make this stuff at home I would never leave the house! Sadly I don't live in ocean shores so my search continues for a pizza place that matches the quality and prices.

We went in January and it was good service. Pizza was made quickly and the whole experience was very enjoyable.

In coming up with my rating, it's mixed... Pizza: 3.5* (good pizza) Service: 3* (waitress was friendly enough, but with only the one person running the show, took a while to get our food and even longer to get a refill of water) Room Temp: 1.5* - it was FREEZING in there. The posted hours were open at 4PM. We got there around 5:30PM (and saw a family finishing up their pizza inside, so they clearly had been open for a little bit at least)... wasn't sure if it was colder OUTSIDE or INSIDE... the table top we were seated at was COLDER than the double-paned window to the outside... Yes, the outside temp was ~31 deg F, but still not a valid reason to be freezing inside. We ate here a few years back, but couldn't remember how good/bad it was last-time... all we remembered was it was not horrible. This time we'll remember how freezing we were...

    (2)
  • K C.

The best tasting and most delicious pizza in Ocean Shores but....unfortunately, they get a bit lazy and it's hard to know if you are going to get served if it's before closing time.

    (5)
  • Kris W.

A simple order of a Cesar salad with chicken. And the chicken is frozen..... This place sucks! Good one time and crud the next. Service was well let's say poor would be a understatement to say the least.

    (1)
  • Joy R.

Possibly the worst pizza I've ever paid for in a restaurant. Had to have been a frozen pizza warmed up with slightly burned crust. The "garlic cheese bread" tasted like stale hotdog buns seasoned and toasted. The decor was really cool, though (for real).

  • Bob H.

Good food, server is awesome but was buried, busy....

  • Shawn O.

Tried to go here but could not get service. Just ignored us. They suck!

  • Juliet F.

Red Genie not only blows away the competitor, it's one of the best pizzas we've ever had, and we eat A LOT of pizza! The sauce is perfect, the crust is buttery and wonderful, tons of toppings that are fresh and perfectly done. The service is friendly fast & accommodating! Don't bother with the other options in Ocean Shores! This is the real thing!

  • Karen D.

I love mom and pop restaurants, especially pizza joints. We ordered a 16 inch half supreme vegetarian and half cowboy for pick-up and ate back in our room. It was fantastic. I've been watching my calories and sodium and knew this might blow the day for me, but it was so good I ended up seriously blowing it adn I enjoyed every bite! I am not a big crust person. I usually leave it for my hubby to eat, but this one was worth eating. The woman behind the counter was really friendly and the pizza was ready right when they said it would be.

    (5)
  • Sara A.

Tasty pizza, friendly staff. We wanted a pizza 15 minutes before they closed. They said, no problem!

    (5)
  • Elena L.

This is the coolest pizza place ever! You kind of don't expect it, but it's really great.

    (5)
  • Sheila H.

Went to go try this place again. got there about 15 minutes befor closing to order a pie to go back to our hotel with. The lady came out of the back and yelled at us that there not taking any more orders. Thats all fine and dandy but turn off your effin open sign if your not taking orders... She was totally rude to us and I dont care if your pizza is good or not we wont be back. I don't have to spend my money in a restaurant that does not respect it patrons.

  • Sharon K.

Good pizza. Nothing special. Service was good, price is good. Facilities are dated but clean.

    (3)
  • Amy D.

It was fine. The space is cool, lots of things to play I Spy while waiting for food. Beer is icy cold, always a plus. Pizza was mediocre at best. Prices are reasonable and staff was friendly.

    (3)
  • Big Will ..

Just had the pizza and it is delicious! The pizza has an overabundance of toppings which was nice and the large caesar salad's are huge! The staff on the other hand are a little rude so be prepared!

    (4)
  • David Y.

Really great pizza! Better than the place down the road.. I work at a near by hotel and recommend this place to all the guests looking for some pizza. But they do not have delivery!

    (5)
  • Jake A.

So I should have listened to reviews about not wasting $ at red genie. . We ordered 2 pizzas one of which was a bar b q supreme which had NO sauce what so ever.. On top of the totally dry pizzas someone should tell the staff "a little smile and politeness, gets returned". I couldn't believe how rude and moody they were... we will definitely not be back!!

  • Camille S.

Best pizza and best salad we've had in Ocean shores. We had the chicken bacon garlic pizza and spinach feta salad. The door to the kitchen was open and I watched them make the crust and pizza fresh (definitely not store bought). Pizza was delicious and flavorful; especially considering the other options in we've tried in ocean shores. The waitress who ran the front house was friendly and fun. Old decor and ambience, but hey, it is Ocean shores, so it fits right in. One of the best spots to eat in Ocean Shores.

Had a great cowboy pizza! really nice day at the Red Genie in Ocean Shores!! So we are adding another date review: Another YUMMY pizza and Irish Death to celebrate Seahawks phenomenal turnaround today ( 1/18/2015). Super Bowl!!

  • Leanne P.

Great pizza! Good service too. I was especially impressed with the service, the waitresses were so nice, and very accommodating for our one-year-old.

    (4)
  • Stephani R.

Would've given it 5 stars because the food is delicious but there was only 1 waitress and she forgot to order our cheese bread so we got it after our pizza but she did take it off our bill so that was nice of her but my husband had to walk up to ask for a refill on his drink. It took a long time for the pizza and the service wasn't amazing but the food makes up for it. We would most likely eat there again when we come back

    (4)
  • Ally M.

The pizza was delicious however the service was slow. We dined in, a table of 4 and the service was suffering from getting our drinks to getting silverware to getting our debit card back after paying... It's a bit pricey but very tasty! We would eat here again.

    (4)
  • Jen L.

Really good pizza the cheese is gooey and fresh lots of toppings. If you have 20-30 minutes to wait it's worth it.

    (4)
  • Rick B.

My family of four sat down to a medium pizza split half-in-half between the kids (Pineapple and Canadian bacon) and the grownups (The Veggie with some pepperoni on because it just looked good.) They had Mac and Jack's on tap along with several other beers. This pizza was so damn good it made my head spin. It can be tough to find real top-notch fare when you're on the road, but the ingredients were fresh, well handled, and expertly cooked. If I didn't live 200 miles away, this would be my go-to spot.

    (4)
  • Deborah H.

Delicious pizza ready promptly for pick-up. Italian salad was good - lots of cheese (recommend ranch dressing with it).. Very friendly service. Would definitely go back.

I have tried all the pizza places in ocean shores and this one is the best. Fast, tasty, and has a really nice staff.

The service was fantastic and the pizza was great! The atmosphere is family friendly. Was just an overall great experience! We will be returning :-)

    (5)
  • Donie K.

Good service, but we have had better pizza from the mall. The sauce was bland as well as the crust

    (2)
  • Goarge H.

Poor quality cheese pizza. Burned top like if they buy frozen from grocery store and burn in their oven. when I complained, the girl at the register simply didn't care. She didn't even apologize. Would never come back to this place and would recommend to stay away.

    (1)
  • Katie M.

The Pizza was delicious. It was much better than Dugans Pizza, it's competitor. Lots of meat on the meat lovers and the crust is buttery. We ordered to go so I can't comment on the service. Yet the woman who worked behind the counter was very pleasant and willing to go the extra mile if required. I will definitely go there again.

    (5)
  • Shilps S.

Good huge pizza and good service. We ordered a takeout supreme and it was ready a bit faster than they said it would be. Plus, we got a free kids kite with it (coupon on their website). Make sure to give them plenty to time on the weekend if you place a takeout order - we were told 45 min but got it in 35. The only disappointing thing was that they only have 2 sizes of pizza - medium and x-large. In the end, we will come back when we are visiting Ocean Shores again!

    (5)
  • Smalls M.

Good customer service. It's not the best pizza I have ever had but I did like the spicy jalapeños and the crust was soft. I would go back.

    (3)
  • Sue B.

Cowboy Pizza! One of the best pizzas we've had in a long time. Dreary day, not many people inside, but great food, and didn't have to wait very long. We will definitely stop again.

It is the Tsunami that you want to see at the beach! This cute eclectic Pizza shop sounds to be the rage of the town. The other Pizza shop Duger's up the street has its employees come down to the Red Gypsy to get the good stuff. Families can choose a a movie from their small selection of DVd's to enjoy on the TV above the fireplace with their pizza. We ordered a small Czar Salad & a large Salad that had romaine/spinach/mushroom/tomato/feta which was very big, enough for two to share. We also ordered the Large Tsunami for the 2 adults & a 1/2 Cheese 1/2 Chicken Bacon Pizza. The kids loved the theirs but it looked overcooked to me with the cheese on the top quite dark. The crust was not too thick, thin to medium. The Tsunami landed on my husbands all time favorite list of pizzas and that is saying something. Loaded with every meat and veggie topping you can think of. To me it was good but the tomato sauce was a bit salty. After the large salad we had 1/2 a Tsunami to bring back to our hotel. We came in just after 3 on a Wednesday and had the whole place to ourselves. Good find.

  • Matt A.

OH MY GOODNESS, this was such a nice pizza parlor. We loved the service and friendliness, and the pizza was awesome! This is a lot better than Dugan's. The crust was crisp and sweet. The sauce was sweet and tasty. The toppings were sweet and tasty. . .and generous. It really was yummy. The outdoor dining is nice. The only bad thing is that they don't have delivery. If they did, Dugan's would be done!

  • Harold D.

Very inviting place until you take your order from the waitress and she's so rude you wish you would not have walked in, I guess all the bleach on her head killed the happy part of her brain...ugh.

    (3)
  • Wendy L.

Pizza good, crust great. a bit greasy. staff nice but her conversations with the locals were not family/kid friendly. discussions of getting wasted and every other word from them was an "f" word.

    (3)
  • Ken L.

Very good pizza and fast service at a good price

    (4)
  • Ty Y.

By far my favorite pizza place in ocean shores. Puts dugans pizza to shame. The boneless wings are full of meat and pizza toppings always fresh and generously topped. Staff is always super friendly. I make it to eat here every time I visit ocean shores for vacation.

There are two pizza places in Ocean shores. After reading the reviews I skipped the one directly across from my hotel and went here. I'm glad I did. The outside looks a run down, and to be honest the inside also looks a bit run down, but the food and the service made up for it. First of all our waitress was very sweet. She was attentive and made sure we didn't need anything. Secondly, the food. The pizza...is amazing. We had Garlic Bacon Ranch. The pizza came out quick, and cooked amazingly. Now when I say the pizza was amazing I will preface it with, I don't eat the crust of pizza. Never have. But here, I ate EVERYTHING. I ate EVERYTHING and I was sad when it was all gone. We had a Medium pizza and it was demolished between three people. My son had the cheese and garlic breadsticks (which were also awesome) We also had the boneless wings. Three adults one kid, two app's, three drinks and a reasonable bill? Amazing. I can't say enough about this place. Next time we're in town, this is where we are eating.

  • Lori D.

Great service! Pizza was pretty good, a little saucy but that is easily remedied. Pizza tastes artisan/handmade as well as the sauce. The house salad is good, despite it just being lettuce (which was VERY fresh and crisp) a great heap of mozzarella as well as olives to top it all off. Their ranch is not your typical ranch either, very good, highly recommended. This would probably be a better place to take out since the ambiance is lacking, not even back ground music. But the lady at the front counter was very attentive to our every need, even before we asked for it, and was great at making conversation.

  • Brenda H.

My family and I ate here on a Sunday night. It was right up there with some of the best pizza we have ever had. Very friendly service, I would recommend this place to anyone with a family. It isn't fancy, but it has excellent pizza and wings.

Delicious pizza! We had the chicken artichoke pizza with Alfredo sauce and the sauce was like heaven in my mouth and the crust was cooked to perfection!

After reading a few reviews about the pizza joints in Ocean Shores, I was pretty suspect of them all. However, when we were finishing up our shopping at Sharky's for our obligatory tourist gear, I asked the teenaged guy behind the counter what his opinion was. He suggested Red Genie because, and I quote, "They have the most consistently good pizza in town." So, when it was time to partake in pizza, Red Genie was the place we went. And I'm happy to say it was a good choice. First off, if you're coming here, don't be put off by the exterior. Yeah, it looks a bit suspect, and it sure could use a good window cleaning. But once you're inside it's clean, smells like a log cabin (in a good way), is much bigger than it looks from the front, and is filled with a treasure trove of rustic items from old tyme phones to lumberjack equipment and carved wooden bears for you to check out as you wait for your order. The place was staffed by what seemed like one guy when we went in around 1PM, but he was Johnny On The Spot with our drinks, salad, and food. Plus he was super-nice, and that's always a good thing in a tourist town at the end of the season. Our family of 5 ordered a medium supreme pizza (kids + wife), house salad (wife), and meatball sandwich (me). Each one was ridiculously good. The pizza has a great sauce that's not too overpowering, and the toppings were both generous and tasty. The meatball sandwich was a delight. Butter toasted bread, great portions, and they weren't skimpy on the cheese at all, which isn't always the case with a meatball sandwich. All-in-all I'd say it was a great experience and we'd definitely be back. The only downside, and it's not the food at all, was that the Men's bathroom door was a bit hard to close and the fan inside ran really noisy, making it difficult to corral our 3 boys easily. But that's a pretty minor consideration. If you're looking for pizza while in Ocean Shores, you won't go wrong with Red Genie.

This is our favorite pizza place in town, food is great and service has always been good.

  • Jim H.

Just ordered a tsunami pizza. After reading reviews, I was quite excited to try this place. Just paid over $28 for a pizza that was supposed to have pretty much all the toppings on it. When I opened the box it looked like a two topping pizza with additional toppings only in the middle. This was to go and when I gave them my (206) # it feels like we received a lesser pizza cuz we're not a "local". Yelp users beware of these great reviews. This place is not worth it!!!!

    (1)
  • Sarah F.

We ate here because of the great reviews on TripAdvisor, although I would not hype it up like everyone else. I have had a lot of pizza and this one is just your normal pizza. Very laid back atmosphere though, that was a plus.

  • Julia C.

Everything about this place was bad except the pizza. The outside looks shabby and not taken care of. We walked in and it was absolutely empty. They did not want to serve us unless it was take out because it was within 30 minutes of closing time even though they could of used the business. The pizza was cooked well and flavorful. We were actually impressed. Would recommend take out call ahead.

  • Saige H.

Delicious pizza. We ordered half Hawaiian, half sausage, mushroom and olives. Also cheese sticks. It took 20 min and we offered to go. Delicious and tasty.

  • Stacey H.

From the outside, this place warns against coming inside but just open the door and sit somewhere. We ordered a basic pepperoni without huge expectations but boy, we were pleasantly surprised. The medium pizza was ah-freaking-mazing. Sitting here reminded me of sitting in my grandma's kitchen with the decor but with the homey feeling and awesome service, we will surely be coming back!

Red Genie Pizza is the fairly new (and long overdue) contender to the longstanding Dugan's Pizza...and to that I say thank god!!! First off, Red Genie's location is primo....right across the street from most of the main hotels (like the Pacific Surf, where I usually stay)! Secondly, the pizza...pretty good! I usually get a large meat lovers and a whole mess of their wings...which btw, coming from a wing junkie like me, I say are really good! The menu is a bit pricier than you might expect, but that's par for the course in Ocean Shores. That all being said, Red Genie Pizza is a great place and clearly winning the 2-way pizza battle in O.S. on all levels, so if you want pizza that's the place to go!

    (5)
  • Danny P.

One of the best Pizza's in Town. Has a nice little bar where you can watch the game or just relax and do nothing. The staff is great. Thanks Dede for making Red Genie what it is today.

Our cowboy pizza was excellent. Also made for great leftover cold pizza the next day for lunch!

There are not a lot of options for Pizza in Ocean Shores. This place has a great atmosphere which is why it is getting an extra star. For me, the Pizza itself is a toss up between Dugans and Red Genie

We had a group of 15 people, no problem, great service, PLEASE order the BBQ chicken Pizza, awesome! Definitely stop here vs other local joints around, great stuff!

I have eaten at Red Genie twice now - once with my mother and brother, and a few months later with a friend of mine. Each time I went to Red Genie I have experienced CONSISTENCY: the staff was warm and friendly; the service was quick (about 15 minutes); and the pizzas were EXCELLENT! In fact, the service and food experiences I had at Red Genie are 3 stars better than some I had at pizza joints around the world (Italy, UK, New York, Miami, Cali and Seattle). My well-traveled family and friends loved the service and pizza, and I am writing on their behalf here. When you go to Red Genie, the restaurant has artifacts from Ocean Shores and Washington Coast's history. The manager, a lovely tall lady with a deep bluesy voice, has incredible knowledge of the 'North Shore'; and will generously answer your questions. Try to go during downtime if you are really interested in learning about this diverse ecosystem and culture, and want to walk around the restaurant. The pizza itself was made from fresh ingredients (not 'freezer tasting' like another reviewer stated). The dough was fresh and flavorful since they bake it on the premises daily. The combinations you can order are creative and sincerely DELICIOUS!!! The pricing on the pizza is a little spendy, yet to be expected if you are ANYWHERE on the Washington Coast (after all, these businesses have to account for distribution and shipping costs, and an incredibly slow, winter season). Of course this restaurant gets busy during the high season because it is the Summer when millions of people flood Ocean Shores and its eating establishments. So you do have to be cognizant when you go to Red Genie in the summer months as it can get insanely busy - sometimes a good thing can be too hard for the staff to handle! This doesn't mean the staff does not know what they are doing. In fact, the locals agree that Red Genie is by far the BEST PIZZA in Ocean Shores. I am very sorry to see that two people on this Yelp review had such a terrible experience at Red Genie. Yet, you should note that the MAJORITY of reviewers here had an above average to excellent experience! Lastly, I gave Red Genie 4 stars instead of 5 because they need to post their menu on their website, and they should play up the cool artifacts in their establishment. Also, they would do well to update their coupon and offer more. Perhaps they can post pictures of the warm, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and a little more information about the place. Other than that, I heard during the Harley Weekend, that all of Ocean Shores establishments open Beer Gardens in their parking lots - and so does Red Genie! Worth going to Ocean Shores for this festive weekend in the summer! Salud!

I can't believe how expensive the food was for mediocre. The pizza was too dark, the crust was spongy (frozen?), the wings appeared to be from a frozen package and the salad was 'meh'. The girl working was quite nice but a little unprofessional. Couldn't believe how slow the food was for being such an unoccupied restaurant. I still am shocked about how much I paid for pizza that was not gourmet in the slightest. Not good food but not bad.

  • Jennifer B.

By far the best food in Ocean Shores. We had some bad meals there. We were so thankful to find Red Genie. I would actually have to say that it may have been the best pizza I've ever had. Not kidding. Crust perfect, not too much sauce, fresh toppings and fast service. We didn't dine in so I could give a hoot about the interior or exterior. The pizza is DAMN good!! Recommended highly!!

  • Dave M.

It should first off be known that Ocean Shores has no good pizza. That being said this is the 'best' of what they lackadaisically offer you in that town. I was not expecting much. I would have been satisfied with something along the franchise quality of a pizza hut or papa john's. Red Genie does not even meet that low expectation. Ordered a medium pepperoni pizza and some 'original boneless hot wings' off the menu. The pepperoni pizza had EIGHT, count 'em, EIGHT pieces of pepperoni on it. The crust was the consistency of a sponge and was basically tasteless. The cheese was of very low quality, reminded me of the fake cheese a lot of drive-ins in the 80s used to use just to be cheap. The 'boneless wings' tasted like they had been cooked the day before, put into a fridge or freezer, then reheated in a microwave. They had a very strong 'taste like the fridge smells' flavor and they went into the garbage. I don't know what it is about the eating establishments over in Ocean Shores. It seems there is a very prevalent mindset to give the most minimal effort possible in food/restaurant service across the board and the owners/management have a 'rook the tourists for what they're worth' attitude instead of putting any effort, any effort at all, into getting any repeat business. Stay away from the pizza while in Ocean Shores.

The only decent pizza in Ocean Shores. The only alternative these days is Dugan's which rivals 7-11 in quality.

We ate there last night based on a couple of reviews and we were not disappointed. In fact we were quite surprised to find such good, no, great pizza! It was pretty quite being a cold, rainy night in Dec. but we were greeted by the gal at the counter with a big smile and a cheery offer to help us. We ordered a 12 inch pizza, plenty for 2, and a glass of wine and a draft beer. The pizza was really good, thin crust, just the right amount of fresh toppings and cooked to perfection. Honestly we were so happy. Also the beer was large and cold and the wine was a full glass not the usual 1/2 glass you get these days. I would highly recommend it.

Doesn't look like much from the outside but great chicken flourentine pizza, cowboy pizza, teriyaki chicken wings, and sweet dessert bites I didn't even see on the menu! Service was fast and friendly. Activities for kids. Across street from Quality Inn. Free kite with hotel coupon (but it broke the first time it crashed into ground).

Good pizza. Good salad. Pizza had great flavor...a little greasy however the taste and balance of flavors was pretty much spot on. Would eat again in a heartbeat!

The pizza was good, love the stuff hanging on the wall, seats could be better, staff/service is nice, we had coupon from our hotel for a free kite w/large pizza (my three year old and child at heart husband loved it). Def. better then Dugans and now that Mac's is gone its even better! (BTW Mac's was never that great and the staff was rude).

We didn't know what to expect after reading the reviews for this place but found it a stop worth making. The atmosphere was quite quirky and the staff was very friendly. We were seated and served very quickly despite the fact that they were busy. We found the pizza delicious (cowboy) and we would gladly return again. There were plenty of toppings on the pizza. Great job guys!

Ok so whoever said you don't get any toppings is insane! I had so many toppings on my supreme pizza that they fell off with almost every bite! HA! they must have read your review then! Pizza was good considering where you are. Not much selection in Ocean Shores but was really happy with the pizza. I was looking forward to a coke with my pizza but was disappointed with it! Nasty! Thats the only reason it wasn't a 5 star review. Def worth going to if your in the mood for pizza in Ocean Shores! great service too!

Got take out...it was okay. Not amazing, but if you need a slice and you can't make it out to someplace better, it'll do the job. As a guideline, it's not any better or worse than, say, dominoes or pizza hut.

Tasty pizza pie (we had the cowboy) made of fluffy medium crust, rich sauce and plenty of fresh toppings. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is quirky and very clean.

As far as pizza goes, Red Genie is the best you'll find in Ocean Shores. Red Genie has a great list of toppings with variations on sauce available (garlic, Alfredo, red sauce, ranch and BBQ). The crust is tasty, if a bit thin under the toppings (you'll like it if you prefer thin crust, I like mine at least 1/4 inch thick under the toppings after it's cooked). The staff is friendly and helpful and the ambiance is nice (in that pizza parlor kind of way) and family friendly.

Good pizza, fast, and good value. Better than Dugans, just not as good of a location so it is often not as busy.

I love pizza. Part of that love is understanding that not all pizza is created equal. Comparing a thin crust wood fired pizza to a deep dish chicago is just not fair, so when people harp on Red Genie for not being "good" I'm wondering what they are comparing it to. Red Genie is the perfect example of old school american pizza. I have picked up a pie there no less than 5 times when rolling into our beach house pretty late. Each time I'm happy I did. The staff is friendly and honest about how long your pie is going to take. The dough is all made fresh in house (i've seen them do it). The toppings are plentiful (don't understand how some other poster only got 10 piece of pepperoni?) The price is more than you would pay at a chain, but well worth it. I honestly wish that Seattle had a pizza place like this, not pretentious and fresh....

Great pizza, its better than Dugan's, only issue is both times I have been in, they have one person serving, bussing tables, taking care of to-go orders, etc., so the service is lacking but you can't beat the pizza. I think the pizza is a bit over priced, but they are consistantly good.

I wish I could give a full and accurate review of Red Genie Pizza, unfortuately our experience lasted less then 90 seconds. We walked in to an over crowded and understaffed pizza shack with three or four large tables full of dirty dishes and the reminance of some other customers dinner. After entering the establishment we were greated by what appeared to be an angry and bitter woman. Instead of "Hi folks! Were a bit busy right now but why dont we get you seated and get you some beverages and we will try and get you taken care of as soon as we can" we instead received a greeting a burgler might receive from a trained doberman right before he latches on to the groin area. The waitress, and we can only assume she was a waitress, looked at us as if we had just brought their establishment a case of the plague, and told us we were looking at a 45 minute wait assuming she would decide to get around to us after that duration of time. There was no pleasantries, no gratitute that we had chosen to eat at the Red Genie vs the other pizza places in town, just a turse and thinly disguised invitation to hit the bricks. So we accomodated her, and ended up having a great meal to the tune of nearly $100 at one of their competitors. I dont know if this is the status quo at the Red Genie but a good refresher course in customer service down at the community college might be worth looking into. We will never step food in the place again during any of our stays at ocean shores. I've had people who owe me money give me a nicer reception then I received at the Red Genie.
